Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Southern Artisan Spirits proudly calls Kings Mountain, North Carolina home, a town with a rich and spirited history. In October 1874, Kings Mountain became the first community in the United States to vote itself legally dry. Yet by the late 19th century, the surrounding region was home to a flourishing network of distilleries. Today, we are honored to carry that tradition forward as the third legal distillery established in North Carolina.
