Our Story, Distilled

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Southern Artisan Spirits calls Kings Mountain, North Carolina home — a town with a spirited history. In fact, Kings Mountain was the first community in the United States to vote itself legally dry back in October 1874. Ironically, by the late 19th century, the surrounding county was home to a thriving community of distilleries. Today, we proudly continue that legacy as the third legal distillery in the state of North Carolina.

At Southern Artisan Spirits, we’re committed to reviving the lost art of craft distillation. Every batch is created with patience, precision, and passion — using only the freshest, organic ingredients to produce spirits that are as refined as they are flavorful.

We’re a family-run distillery, rooted in tradition and driven by the desire to craft something worth sharing — one bottle at a time. Whether you're sipping at our bar, taking a bottle home, or just visiting for the experience, we’re honored to share what we make with you.
